The famous orchestra with his frontman Adrian Gaspar will perform the Opening Late Night Concert on Tuesday, 13 July , an Open Air on Wednesday afternoon and an Open Air in Haus im Ennstal on Wednesday in the evening!

“Balkan Fever”, Central Europe’s only Balkan music festival, returns to the Austrian capital from 20 April to 12 May with a programme of jazz, pop, rock, Balkan underground and gypsy music. Now in its fourth edition, “Balkan Fever 2007” hosts musicians from Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia and Estonia as well as local Austrian stars including accordion virtuoso Otto Lechner and pianist Adrian Gaspar. Festival highlights include concerts by Balkan music’s best known personality Goran Bregovic with his Weddings and Funerals Orchestra (29 April) and the king of contemporary popular Greek music George Dalaras (1 May). Participating venues include the Wiener Konzerthaus, Joe Zawinul’s Birdland and the Porgy and Bess jazz club.

Adrian Gaspar - musical leader

Adrian Gaspar: A young, enthusiastic, motivated and very talented pianist and composer who has introduced the new generation of Balkan Jazz music to Austria. Originally from Romania, Adrian has integrated very well and has founded various music groups such as the "Adrian Gaspar Orchestra", the"Adrian Gaspar GypsyCombo" and the "Adrian Gaspar Ensemble".

Having gained experience from performing in various locations in Austria, but also in Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Romania and even in the USA, in Washington D.C. Adrian is now fully motivated to continue his passion and further pursue his musical career.He played with musicians like Franz Hautzinger, Robert Bachner, KlausDickbauer, Thomas Kugi, Martin Fuss, Herwig Gradischnig, Georg Breinschmid, Martin Lubenov, Alex Wladigeroff, Theodore Coresi, Elly Wright, Joschi Schneeberger, Habib Samandi a.o.

He is studying composition at the university of music and performing arts in Vienna with Prof. Dietmar Schermann and Jazz Arrangement with the great Mathias Rüegg.
He has and is still stunning his audience with his piano skills and gives out just the vibes one would expect from such a young and dynamic musician.
